The Portland Press Herald reported that the Town of Windham was awarded a Round 7 Community Action Grant from the Community Resilience Partnership (CRP) for its Residential Preparedness Program.
The Windham Residential Preparedness Program is a partnership between the town of Windham, Age Friendly Windham, and the Greater Portland Council of Governments. The program will design and implement a locally tailored coaching and outreach program for residents to access climate preparedness resources and promote household resilience. The program will also use coaches to connect households, particularly older adults, to existing energy, housing, and emergency preparedness services, as well as local resources such as WindowDressers, Cumberland County Emergency Management Agency, Windham Community Connect, and the Sebago Lakes Region Fuller Center for Housing.
CRP is a program of the State Resilience Office at the Maine Office of Community Affairs.
